Dance
“Dance registration is now closed for winter/spring term. Registration will open on May 1 for Summer term.”
Children’s Praise Dance
Children’s Praise Dance is for all children 3 years and older. Basic ballet, stretching, across the floor movement, and simple dance.
Grace Pointe Dance
Grace Pointe Dance, is for children ages 6-18. Dancers will learn proper dance technique in classical ballet and traditional modern dance as they worship God, the Creator, and learn about his great love for them.
Garments of Praise Dance Troupe
Garments of Praise Dance Troupe is for girls ages 10 and up and by invitation. This group focuses on worshiping God through dance, glorifying God in our bodies, and learning dances that share the redemptive power of Jesus Christ. This is our performing group that performs 4-5 times a year including the Christmas and Passion Week plays, during services and for outreach events.
(Modest dance attire is required for all classes.)
Drama
Our drama ministry exists to glorify God and minister to the community through the theatre arts. Our drama ministry has two main productions during the year – a full length Christmas production and a shorter one on Easter or Good Friday. These productions will have acting, dancing, and singing roles available. Drama also plays a key role at our Vacation Bible School. Other short sketches or skits may be performed throughout the year.
A Bit About April
April Baker is the MCC Performing Arts Director. She has 25 years of teaching experience in the performing arts. She has a Master of Arts in Theatre Ministry from Regent University. She can be reached at artsministry@mccmontello.org
