Hi! We're glad you have heard about Marquette Community Church and we look forward to meeting you and welcoming you in person! Until then, we hope these answers can help make you more comfortable for your first, second or one-hudredth visit to MCC!
The best way to get to know MCC is to join us on Sunday mornings. We hope to see you this weekend!
Q: What time are Sunday Services?
A: Our Worship Services begin at 9:00 a.m. (also livestreamed on our YouTube channel) & 10:15 a.m. every Sunday unless it is a special event (Christmas or Easter might be a little different). You'll find people of all different ages, backgrounds and life experiences. It's very normal to see people wearing casual to dressy casual clothing. You can blend in and be comfortable here if you are visiting. You are welcome to join us just as you are.
Q: What kind of music do you worship with?
A: We have fully embraced "contemporary" worship music for many years, but still enjoy an occasional hymn. Our worship band has many talented musicians who desire to draw us all closer to a worship experience than simply put on a performance.
Q: I have kids. Will they have activities on Sundays too?
(NOTE: ALL CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES ARE POSTPONED UNTIL THE FALL SEMESTER DUE TO COVID-19 CONCERNS)
A: Kids are of tremendous value to us at MCC! A couple bullet points to help with the plan for kids:
At 9:00 AM every Sunday we offer a Graded Sunday School Program for infants - adults. We use the Gospel Project curriculum which provides chronological, Christ-centered Bible studies that immerse your entire church in the story of the gospel—God’s plan to rescue His people from sin through His Son, Jesus Christ.
We have a staffed nursery during Sunday School and the Worship Service for infants to 4 year-olds. You can check your kid(s) in before service and pick them up at the end of service so you can fully engage (and rest a little) during worship.
Q: What does Marquette Community Church believe?
A: We are an Evangelical Free Church who desires to see all people committed to and following a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you would like to see specifics of what we believe, you can click here for more information.
