SonSet Missions Trip to pack Gospel Radios for Global Impact

We are organizing a mission trip to SonSet Solutions in Elkhart, Indiana this summer to pack radios and possibly help with other projects like moving things. They usually have two teams come each month for a half day or full day usually on a Tuesday or a Wednesday. They set up tables and people can sit and pack boxes of radios. This is a project that can be done by Junior High teens up to seniors/elderly. They also provide a meal and a tour of the tech facility. If there are older teens and younger adults who are strong, they have other lifting and moving jobs that they could use help with also.

We had originally started planning this for Summer of 2022. They currently have openings starting in the last half of June through the summer and beyond. Teresa Vitale is considering leading this trip.

Travel takes around 6 hours if you avoid the worst of the Chicago rush hours. We are suggesting driving down and camp for one or two nights. An idea Chris H has is to camp at her parent's church which has a gymnasium with rooms off the side or at a local campground. Indiana Dunes State Park is along the route and that might be a place to visit on the way there or back to add a little fun. Oxbow Park by Elkhart would also be a place for free time activities.

Homeschool Fellowship

Homeschool Fellowship exists to build relationships with the local homeschool community. This a family fellowship group that also serves as a playgroup for children. It serves to encourage families in their relationships with Jesus Christ and with others as they homeschool in a fallen world. Come and enjoy snacks and fellowship time with other parents and children.

Sunday School

Our Sunday School is designed to enable the entire family to spiritually grow. Through our curiculum, Answers Bible Curriculum, we are on a journey through the Bible. Every class from children to adult study the same passage of Scripture and are given an age appropriate lesson from their teachers. There is also weekly material sent home so the entire family can continue in study throughout the week. Sunday School is a vital part of our designed discipleship program and key to helping us fulfill our vision of spiritally mature believers being grace points.

Youth Ministry

Being in middle & high school in today’s culture is tough. Peer pressure, schoolwork, busy schedules, and difficult decisions are enough to stress a student out. Our Youth Ministry is a place where students can experience acceptance and authentic community led by people who genuinely care about them.

We’re not into “playing church” we ARE the church. We discuss the tough issues head- on; we encourage our students to share their pain, doubts and fears as well as their successes, victories and life-change stories as they grow in their faith. We are committed to walking alongside our students as they are challenged to live life with a passion for God, selflessly and with a sense of purpose.

There are several reasons why you might want to use our church nursery for your young children:

Safety: Our church nursery is a clean, safe, and supervised environment for children to play and interact with others. You can worship knowing that your children are being well-cared for.
Socialization: Our church nursery provides an opportunity for young children to socialize and interact with their peers. This may help them develop social skills and learn how to share and play with others.
Learning: Our nursery offers age-appropriate toys that can help your children learn and develop new skills. This can be especially beneficial for children in their early developmental stages.
Support: Our church nursery can provide support for parents who may be struggling to balance the demands of caring for young children while also participating in church activities. It allows parents to have some time to focus on their own spiritual growth while knowing that their children are being cared for.
Community: Our nursery is a great way for young children and their families to connect with others in our church community.

Life Groups
